At Cozy Cottages Travel, we believe that every journey tells a story. Robin has explored breathtaking destinations, and we’re excited to share her personal travel adventures with you. From Ireland to Italy to Greece to charming villages in Germany, let her experiences inspire your next getaway!
Siena and San Gimignano are fabulous walled cities to explore. The gelato is worth all the steps you will get walking these cities.
Sheep Dog demostrations are a must while exploring Ireland! You get to help shear a sheep, feed baby sheep, snuggle with them and watch the adult sheep dogs as they move the herd all over the fields at the farmer's command.
This is from just ONE sheep! With the help of the farmer, we sheared the sheep with clippers. This is a favorite adventure of all my clients that have traveled to Ireland!
Take the time to explore the Roman Baths that date back to the 1000 AD in Bath, England.
In Northern Ireland there is only one place in the world that the shoreline is made of octagonal rocks! You have to be there to experience the wow factor of these rocks. Scientists to this day have no idea why these are formed like this here in Northern Ireland.
One of Robin's favorite places to visit is The Cotswolds. She used to live close by so she knows all the wonderful villages to explore. Bibury has a special meaning to her since she learned to flyfish there on the river outside The Swan Hotel in 1996.
You can never go wrong with ordering Italian wines for lunch and dinner.
One of the most favorite things that Robin has done is the Vespa Tour through the Tuscany countryside and stopping for a homemade lunch of pasta, meats and cheese and the vineyard's own wine. Highly recommend!
Robin spent 3.5 weeks in 2023 exploring all around the Greek Islands to learn more about the areas, accommodation, restaurants and excursioins for my clients to do on their vacation.
Some of the best Greek islands to explore are the off the beaten path from the touristy islands. Skiathos is a gem with gorgeous beaches and wonderful resorts right on the ocean. This was Robin's view while eating lunch at the resort.
We explored Skopelos where the movie Momma Mia was filmed many years ago. We found all the filming locations (some have changed a lot) including the chapel on top of the cliff. We ferried over from Skiathos for the day and had a blast!
My family loved the Athens Food Tour! Our private tour guide was fabulous and we tried some wonderful Greek food!
The beautiful Brunello wine region was full of wonderful vineyards and our 6 course lunch with paired wines was outstanding at Tenuta Torciano Winery.
